Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards (2024)

Updated August 30, 2024: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The week many have been waiting for has arrived as the annual Solstice of Heroes event for 2024 has come to an end and Act 3 of Episode Echoes is now under way.

While the final chapter will be rolling out over the next three weeks, Act 2 left Destiny 2 players on a cliffhanger of sorts as the mysterious Conductor was finally revealed in full, leaving many with even more questions. Destiny 2's Act 3 of Episode Echoes will not only conclude this first post-Final Shape story, but players will have even more content to look forward to, including a new exotic quest, 5 new Hunter's Journal perks to pick from, and new gear to obtain.

The Destiny 2 weekly reset is finally here, bringing with it the usual refreshed content, activities, and rewards for players to chase over the next week. For a complete look at all the new content available for the week of August 27, including Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, here is everything players need to know.

Weekly Nightfall and Modifiers

Nightfall Strike: Heist Battleground: Europa

Advanced Modifiers:

• Champions: Unstoppable and Barrier
• Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields. Void, Solar, and Arc.
• Galvanized: Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun.
• Overcharge: Linear Fusion Rifle and Kinetic Weapons when the player's subclass matches an active Surge element.
• Fire Pit: When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time.
• Threat: Solar
• Surge: Solar and Arc

Expert Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Equipment Locked: Unable to change equipment once the mission starts.

Master Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Famine: All ammunition drops are significantly reduced.
• Master Modifiers: Locked Loadout, Extra Champions, and Extra Shields.

Grandmaster Modifiers:

• All previous modifiers.
• Chaff: Radar is disabled.
• Master Modifiers: Extinguish, Limited Revives, Contest, and Join In Progress Disabled.

Week 13

1. Core Variables I: Complete Act 3 Part 1 of "A Rising Chorus."
2. Research and Development VII: Complete the research quest for Specimen ID: NES007.
3. Learning Computer III: Reset your Reputation Rank twice with Failsafe in the H.E.L.M.
4. Assimilated Rock and Stone III: Mine and Acquire Emerald and Violet Radiolite.
5. Red Hot Riff: Defeat 400 Vex with Solar damage in Gambit or Vanguard Ops activities.
6. Classified: TBD.

Exotic Mission Rotation

Bungie brought back various exotic missions for players to run through to earn new rewards, gear, as well as craftable versions of exotic weapons. Like the Raid and Dungeon rotator, this one changes on a weekly basis.

Raid and Dungeon Rotation

Originally introduced during Season 17, Bungie features Raids and Dungeons in a weekly rotation to make them farmable with updated rewards.

Ritual Activities: Crucible and Gambit

Players can earn additional rewards through Destiny 2's Pathfinder system simply by playing and performing certain tasks in ritual activities like Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit.

Trials of Osiris Map and Weekly Adept Weapon
